Ponca City, OK — Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) has announced Billy Miller and Evan Mills as the February Students of the Month, recognizing their dedication, work ethic, and accomplishments in their respective programs.
Evan Mills, a junior from Ponca City, is enrolled in the Firefighter/EMT program under the instruction of Gary Vap. He is recognized for his dedication to his studies, often arriving early and staying late to deepen his understanding of course materials. His initiative to work ahead and absorb as much knowledge as possible highlights his passion for emergency services and his drive to excel.
Billy Miller, a junior from Deer Creek-Lamont, has demonstrated exceptional commitment in the Precision Machining program. Known for his positive attitude and strong work ethic, he consistently assists in the shop and strives to improve his skills. His dedication has been evident in various competitions, including the SkillsUSA District Manual Machining Contest, where he secured first place. With this achievement, he will advance to the State contest, where his instructors anticipate continued success.
Each month, PTC instructors select students who exemplify the school’s mission of Enhancing Lives and Securing Futures. As part of this recognition, the honorees receive a Student of the Month cup, allowing them to enjoy their favorite beverages at no cost throughout the month.
