In the early hours of March 30th, Officers with the Ponca City Police Department responded to Stop-N-Go at 501 W. Highland Ave. in response to an attempted Armed Robbery.
The subject, described by witnesses as a black male, wearing a blue hoodie and a white ski mask, walked into the store and pointed a firearm at a customer, ordering him behind the counter. The armed subject then pointed the firearm at the store clerk and ordered the clerk to give him money from the register. During the robbery, a customer and suspect got into a fight over the firearm and the customer sustained minor injuries. The firearm was dropped at the scene by the suspect and it was turned over to Police at the scene. The customer’s injuries were treated by Ponca City EMS and he was released from the scene..
