OKLAHOMA CITY  – Authorities have apprehended a Tulsa murder suspect on Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s 10 Most Wanted list. Angel Ibarra, 19, is in custody in Ft. Worth, Texas, after being captured in Mexico. He will be transferred to Tulsa County to face charges in a February shooting that killed two teenagers and wounded two others.

The Mexican Federal Police arrested Ibarra  after a tipster saw his Most Wanted information on social media and contacted authorities. Agents in the Attorney General’s Office worked with the Tulsa Police Department, the U.S. Secret Service and the FBI to facilitate Ibarra’s arrest.

“Our collaboration with multiple law enforcement agencies has a been a significant factor in our success with the 10 Most Wanted list and helping to bring fugitives to justice,” Drummond said. “These fugitives pose a serious threat to public safety. We need them off the streets, and we intend to hold them accountable for their actions.”

Ibarra is the third fugitive from the 10 Most Wanted list captured this month.
