Oklahoma County Sheriff Tommie Johnson III is set to announce the arrests of six individuals connected to a kidnapping and robbery that happened last year near Edmond.

The press conference is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.

On June 14, 2024, deputies responded to a call at a coffee shop located at 17784 N. MacArthur, where witnesses reported a woman was kidnapped at gunpoint. The victim was allegedly beaten, robbed of $250,000 in cash, and forced to send $10,000 to one of her captors via CashApp.

The woman was released shortly after a Kasey Alert was issued.

OCSO identified six people involved in the crime following an extensive investigation. Sheriff Johnson will provide further details during the press conference at 2:15 pm.
