Glass and a Glass! Ladies Night Out Fundraiser in Tonkawa

A festive Ladies Night Out event in Tonkawa, “Glass and a Glass!” is set for 6:30, Wednesday, February 12 to benefit Heart in the Park’s beautification and landscaping campaign. “Glass and a Glass!” participants will create an original fused glass pendant, magnet or keychain and learn about the art of fused glass while enjoying drinks, savory soup and salad and sweet bites from outstanding Tonkawa businesses and restaurants. According to event planner Audrey Schmitz, additional highlights of the evening include a variety of silent auctions, and wine enthusiasts will enjoy participating in a “Wine-Grab” experience and take home a mystery bottle of vino!

Glass and a Glass!” event sponsors include Mary’s Grill, Venture Foods, First National Bank, Gateway First Bank, Art Center of Tonkawa, TS Fork Restaurant, The Baker’s Table, Simple Simon’s Pizza, Crazy Al’s Liquor, China Restaurant, Frames & Things, Tonkawa General Hardware, Julie Cakes and many friends of Heart in the Park.

Tickets are $45 per person and may be ordered at Tonkawa at Chamber of Commerce (580-628-2200) and Frames & Things (580-628-3400) or text 405-880-2827. The venue for “Glass and a Glass!” is Art Center of Tonkawa, 202 East Grand, Tonkawa. Doors will open at 6:15.

The world-renowned Heart in the Park Labyrinth was completed in 2007 and is located in Centennial Park in Tonkawa’s historic downtown district. Dedicated community volunteers continue to maintain and care for the park and host activities for citizens of all ages as well as actively promoting the labyrinth for tourism.
