OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 22, 2025) – An Oklahoma fugitive is in custody only a week after being added to Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s 10 Most Wanted list.

Sau Tau “James” Liu was arrested in California on Jan. 14 by U.S. Marshals following collaborative efforts between the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Oklahoma Metro Fugitive Task Force. Liu was wanted on a Lincoln County warrant stemming from a November 2023 Multi-County Grand Jury indictment for trafficking more than 25 pounds of marijuana.

“This arrest again demonstrates the effectiveness of our 10 Most Wanted program and the strong partnerships between state, federal, tribal and local law enforcement,” said Drummond. “It is important we engage with the public to ensure these individuals are held accountable for their alleged crimes.”

After Liu was added to the Attorney General’s 10 Most Wanted list in early January, tips from the public helped generate leads in the case. A subsequent investigation led authorities to Sacramento, where Liu was successfully apprehended.

This marks the eighth successful capture from the Attorney General’s Top 10 Most Wanted list, highlighting the program’s continued success in apprehending fugitives from justice.
