Former OSU Student Featured in 2025 Religious Series ‘The Chosen’

Oklahoma State graduate Elizabeth Tabish, best known for her portrayal of Mary Magdalene in The Chosen series, is once again on the big screen in the newly released 2025 film, The Chosen: Last Supper – Part Two. As the series continues to captivate audiences around the world, Tabish took a moment to reflect on her time at OSU.

Tabish earned both a Master of Arts in Theatre and a Bachelor of Arts in Screen Studies from OSU. In a conversation with News 9, she described her time at the university as “a real playground” for creativity. “As an artist, I had incredible professors in the English department and theatre department,” she said. “The actors and students I worked with on plays—writing together, directing together—we had so much fun.”

Movie Man: “The Chosen: The Last Supper”

In The Chosen, Tabish portrays Mary Magdalene, a central figure in Jesus’ ministry and one of His most devoted followers. Her performance has been widely praised for its emotional depth and vulnerability. According to Movieguide.org, Tabish has spoken about the transformation Mary undergoes and the character’s pivotal role in the Gospel story.

The newest installment, The Chosen: Last Supper – Part Two, dives into the dramatic events of Holy Week, including Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, Judas’ betrayal, and the intimate moments of the Last Supper.

The film is currently showing in AMC theaters nationwide.
