A tragic fatality accident occurred on the morning of May 8th at around 7:18 on South Ranch Drive, half a mile north of West Cowboy Hill Road, about five miles south of Ponca City.
The accident involved a single vehicle, a 2004 Nissan Armada, driven by 24-year-old Gabino Serralde Jr, a Hispanic male from Palestine, TX, who was working in Ponca City. Serralde Jr was pronounced dead at the scene by Ponca City EMS due to injuries sustained in the accident, including head injuries, internal and external trunk injuries, as well as injuries to his arms and legs. Trout Funeral Home transported Serralde Jr’s remains to the funeral home.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, as is Serralde Jr’s condition at the time of the accident. Serralde Jr was not wearing his seatbelt at the time and the side curtain airbags were deployed. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
