Deadline yo apply for absentee ballots is June 13

Kay County voters who want absentee ballots mailed to them for the June 28 Election need to apply for a ballot by 5 p.m. June 13.

Absentee ballots are available to any registered voter, provided they are eligible to vote in the election requested. No excuse is needed to vote by absentee ballot.

There are five different Republican sample ballots in Kay County and one Democratic ballot.

Voters can submit a request using the OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp.

Request forms are also available at oklahoma.gov/elections and at the Kay County Election Board, located at 219 S. Main St. in Newkirk.

Voters need to allow time for an absentee ballot to be received, completed, and returned by mail to the Kay County Election Board.
