If you have a cell phone, landline phone or email address, you will now be able to enroll for a new alerting system in Ponca City. Developed by Inspiron Logistics, WENS Notification System can provide emergency weather alerts, local utility outages and other unexpected events to all Ponca City citizens that register. There is no charge to the public for this service.

The Ponca City Notification System is available to residents through simple online registration. Alerts are available as text messages, phone calls or emails. During registration the alert method that is best for the recipient should be selected. Residents may select one or all methods. Once registration is complete the user is immediately able to receive alerts. There is no waiting period.

With severe weather season soon upon us, you will have peace of mind knowing that severe weather alerts will come directly to you from NOAA and the National Weather Service. In addition to weather alerts, soon notification of power and water outages, road closures and other City messages will be provided. What messages are received is completely the user’s choice. Because of the number of alert options, the system can be set up to fit your individual needs. Those suffering with hearing loss can opt to receive your alerts in text, while those with vision challenges can select voice only messages. The flexibility of the WENS Notification System allows it to accommodate all users.

The City of Ponca City is very excited to bring this innovation in public messaging to our citizens. For more information and a list of Frequently Asked Questions, check out the webpage at www.poncacityok.gov/pcnotification-registration, or email [email protected].
