Ponca City and other area letter carriers invite you to take part in the largest one-day food drive in the country on Saturday May 13.  All you have to do is pick up some extra non-perishable food items when you shop and leave them out for your carrier that day.  Postal employees will collect food donations on their regular mail routes during the 30th Annual National Association of Letter Carriers “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive.

Local mail carriers will collect food donations from residents and deliver them to several food pantries and banks in Ponca City. These resources include Survivor Resource Network, New Emergency Resource Agency, Northern Oklahoma Youth Services, Peachtree Landing, Friendship Feast, and the Mission.

The National Association of Letter Carriers organizes the “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive to assist families and individuals struggling with food insecurity. The event’s longevity and success can be attributed to the generosity of millions of Americans who contribute to the cause every year.

By participating in the “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive, individuals can help make a difference in their community by providing much-needed food items to local food banks and pantries. Every donation counts, and with the help of the dedicated letter carriers, the drive can make a significant impact in the fight against hunger.
