Three Ponca City Wildcat Football players have received post-season accolades. Senior Spencer Ball has been selected for the Oklahoma Coaches Association East All-State Football Team. The position for which Spencer has been selected is kicker, punter, and place kicker. Spencer is a four-year lettermen for the Wildcat Football team. In addition to football, Spencer is also a member of our Boys Soccer team and lettering the previous three years. Spencer is the first Wildcat Football player named to the All-State Football team since 2005.
Senior James Godfrey has been named to the All-Star by Class 6A East Football Team. The position for which James has been selected is Defensive End. James is a three-year lettermen in football and is a member of the wrestling team.
Senior Sam McKinney has been named as Honorable Mention to the All-Star by Class 6A East Football team. The position for which Sam has been selected is Wide Receiver and Kick-off Return. Sam is a three-year lettermen in Football. Sam is also a three-year lettermen in Track and Field.
In addition to Ponca City student-athletes achievements, Head Assistant Coach Michael Nordquist was on the 6A All-Star by Class Selection Committee.
“These three student-athletes and Coach Nordquist have done a phenomenal job in the Wildcat Football program. It has been a pleasure working with these young men. Coach Nordquist is an invaluable member of the Football staff!” said PCPS Director of Football Operation/Head Coach Scott Harmon.
