Local Retired Educators attend state conference

Four members of the Kay County Retired Educators Association attended the annual conference of the Oklahoma Retired Educators Association in Tulsa recently.
Keynote speaker was Robert Blancato, well known on the national stage as an expert and advocate on aging issues.  He is president of his own public and government relations firm and serves on the national board of the AARP.  In 2015 he was named to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Advisory Panel on Outreach and Education.
Conference attendees attended various small group sessions, visited exhibitors and helped carry out the business of the OREA.
Local attendees were KCREA officers  Nancy Nieman and Cindy Watson, co-presidents; Shirly Neal, treasurer; and Royce Caldron, membership chair.
