Listen and Learn presentation highlights historic excavations

A Listen and Learn presentation will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at Marland’s Grand Home.

The presentation features two important excavations of the 1920s: The E.W. Marland/Joseph B. Thoburn Excavation of a 1700s Wichita Tribal Encampment along the Arkansas River north of Ponca City, where buffalo furs were traded with the French explorers, and the ongoing King Tutankhamun Excavation in the Valley of the Kings, Egypt.

The program will be presented by Oklahoma State University students Jeanie LaFon and Tanner Wiseman, of the Sociology/Archeology Department.
