Library holding gingerbread house contest

The Ponca City Library is holding a gingerbread house contest.

Bring your entry to the Library from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, or from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11.

Houses will be displayed through Dec. 13. The public will vote on the best three entries from each category on Friday and until 3 p.m. Saturday.

Winners will be announced at 3:30 p.m. Saturday and winners will be contacted.

Entry is free. Categories are: 1. Adult amateur; 2. Adult professional; 3. Teens, ages 13 – 18; 4. Youth, ages 5 – 12; and 5. Team, family or friends. There will be prizes in each category. Call the Library at 767-0345 for more information.

The library also will have a Gingerbread House Workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday for youth ages 5-12. You must enroll for this program as space will be limited to 20 children.

Parents/ guardians are welcome to assist their children. The workshop is free and open to the public. Call the Library for more information or to enroll.
