OKLAHOMA CITY – Lawton area legislators including Sen. John Michael Montgomery, R-Lawton; Sen. Chris Kidd, R-Waurika; Rep. Trey Caldwell, R-Lawton; Rep. Toni Hasenbeck, R-Elgin; Rep. Daniel Pae, R-Lawton; and Rep. Rande Worthen, R-Lawton, released the following statement regarding the COVID-19 vaccine distribution at the Comanche County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday:

“We’re thrilled with the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccine in Lawton. It will give long-awaited and much needed relief to our frontline health care workers, vulnerable populations and essential workers as we continue the fight against the virus while still balancing our economic recovery and the education of our children.  We believe the vaccine has been developed based on scientific principles and is safe for use. We also support the vaccine distribution plan. Healthcare workers, teachers, and essential workers must receive top priority.”
