Leavitt Named Executive Director of Operations

Pending approval from the Ponca City Board of Education, Jason Leavitt has been named Executive Director of Operations for Ponca City Public Schools. He has served as Athletic Director for PCPS since 2018.

Jason is a 2003 graduate of Ponca City High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma. He received his master’s degree this year from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Jason served as a teacher and head wrestling coach for Claremore Pubic Schools during the 2012-2013 school year and then moved back to Ponca City to become a teacher and head wrestling coach for PCPS from 2013-2018.

“It has been a pleasure serving our student-athletes and coaches the past five years,” he said. “This new role will provide an opportunity to serve our students, staff and community on a larger scale. I would like to thank Mr. Leaming and the Board of Education for showing confidence in me. I am very appreciative and look forward to a new challenge.”

Jason is married to Liane Leavitt and they have four children: sons Layton (17), Jagger (9), Bowen (7) and daughter Charlie (11 months).
