OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Sen. James Lankford says that he has tested negative for COVID-19, but will remain quarantined because he recently met with a Utah senator who tested positive for the illness caused by the coronavirus. Lankford tweeted Saturday morning that he will follow federal Centers for Disease Control guidelines by remaining isolated.

Lankford on Friday said that he met several times this week with Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah, who said earlier on Friday that he tested positive for COVID. Lankford, a fellow Republican, has said he isn’t experiencing symptoms but will quarantine for 10 days.
