Ladycats Softball Learns in Hickman Tournament

Ladycats Softball travelled to Hickman, Mo this past weekend for tournament play.

Coach Daniel Wood said his team gained experience, “The Hickman Tournament was a great chance to see some great teams from a new area. It’s always good to go to out of state tournaments cause you get a chance for team bonding and see some of the best teams that Missouri has to offer right before regionals starts. We swung the bats well but came up short a couple of games, but we made some adjustments and fixed some problems. Libby Clark had a couple of her best outings of the year and if we need a kid to start peaking right now it is definitely her. ”

Coach Wood went on to say, “Regionals will be tough. Union and Jenks are two of the best teams in the state. But when you’re playing for a chance to extend your season into the state tournament you might as well play some of the best.”
