Kaylon Williams invited to tryouts

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) – University of Oklahoma forward Kaylon Williams is one of 54 women’s college basketball players invited to tryouts for the USA Basketball Women’s Pan American Games and World University Games teams.

The tryouts are set for May 14-17 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Williams averaged 12.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game as a junior last season.

Also invited to the tryouts is Courtney Walker of Edmond. Walker plays for Texas A&M.

Those selected to the U.S. Pan American team will return to Colorado on July 3 for training camp. The 2015 Pan American women’s games will be July 16-20 in Toronto, Canada.

Those selected to the 2015 USA World University team will return to Colorado Springs for training camp on June 18. The 2015 World University Games will be July 4-13 in South Korea.
