JULY 4TH CELEBRATION AT LAKE PONCA

Ponca City Now - June 25, 2024 6:13 am

Lake Ponca

The City of Ponca City’s free fireworks display at Lake Ponca will be held on Thursday, July 4 at 9:50 p.m. The colorful pyrotechnic and musically choreographed fireworks show will fill the night skies over beautiful Lake Ponca to celebrate Independence Day. The fireworks will be choreographed to music and can be heard by turning to local radio station KPNC-FM 100.7 or KLOR 99.3 FM.
A safety zone will be buoyed off on Lake Ponca beginning at approximately 7:00 p.m. on July 4. If you are in a water craft on Lake Ponca after 7:00 p.m., please stay out of the buoyed off area until the fireworks and the buoys have been removed.
Please remember: Private fireworks are not allowed on or around the Lake Ponca Recreation Area or any of the roadways or water areas around Lake Ponca.
As a reminder, in an effort to maximize the amount of space for citizens to set up an area to picnic and gather, there are changes to the parking at Lake Ponca for the 4th of July Celebration.
The grassy area directly across from the swim beach will have a limited amount of space for cars to park, and will be first come, first served, no reserving spots. The paved parking along the beach will be reserved for handicapped parking and mobile food vendors.
Once those areas, and the other parking areas are full, the overflow parking will be on the east side of L.A. Cann, north of the Sailboat Marina. The map below shows the areas described.
