Interstate 35 reopened; detour in place in Kansas

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports Kansas has reopened northbound Interstate 35 at the Oklahoma/Kansas State line.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is opening I-35 at State Highway 11 at the Blackwell exit to continue traffic northbound.

The agencies are still out with the backup of traffic on SH 11 and US 77 and will stay on scene until it is cleared.

Northbound travelers should expect  to be detoured in Kansas to westbound US 166 (mile marker 4 in Kansas) to northbound US 81 to Wichita until repairs to the roadway on I-35 are completed.
