Injury accident reported near Cushing

A personal Injury collision occurred about 10 a.m. Tuesday on 9th Street at the intersection of Brethren Road, located approximately 3.5 miles west of Cushing in Payne County.

Charles Larry English, 61, of Blanchard was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Uplander eastbound on 9th Street. Amber Leigh Golden, 32, of Cushing, was driving a 2011 Hyundai SUV northbound on Brethren Road. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that after yielding at the stop sign, Golden proceeded north through the intersection, and English failed to stop at the stop sign, hitting Golden’s vehicle on the driver side.

English was transported by a personal vehicle to the Urgent Care Clinic in Oklahoma City, where he was treated for arm injuries and released. There were no passengers in his car.

Golden was transported by personal vehicle to Cushing Hillcrest Hospital in stable condition, where she was treated for neck and arm injuries and released.

Timothy Wilson, 34, of Cushing, was a passenger in Golden’s vehicle. He was transported by Cushing ambulance to Cushing Hillcrest Hospital, in stable condition, where he was treated for head and arm injuries. The hospital advised Wilson was transferred by Cushing ambulance to OU Medical Center and admitted in stable condition for head, trunk internal, trunk external and arm injuries.

A 9-year-old girl from Cushing was transported by Air-Evac helicopter to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, in stable condition. She was admitted for head, trunk internal and arm injuries.

A 10-year-old boy from Cushing was transported by Cushing Ambulance in stable condition where he was treated and released for head injuries.

Both drivers and all passengers were wearing seat belts, Trooopers reported.
