Illegal Marijuana grow operation uncovered in Kay County

Thousands of plants seized

 

KAY COUNTY (KOKH) – An illegal Marijuana grow operation was seized on Thursday morning in Kay County.

Investigators uncovered six large structures and 13 wood frame and plastic grow houses on the property near Kaw City.

Multiple subjects were detained. Arrests were made and charges are being filed on other participants not present at the time of the search warrant.

Approximately 2,700-3,000 full grown marijuana plants were seized and destroyed. OBN estimates the street value of this plant seizure to be near $3 Million.
