I-35 lanes open at Fountain Road; remains narrowed at Braman Road

Team Radio Marketing Group - August 22, 2017 9:17 am

All lanes of northbound and southbound I-35 are now open at Fountain Road (mile marker 211) near Tonkawa in Kay County and the Fountain Road bridge is open to traffic.

Speed remains reduced in the area through August as workers finish final construction-related items in the right-of-way. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area as work completes.

Additionally, I-35 remains narrowed to one lane in each direction at West Braman Road/West Bender Road (mile marker 230) just south of US-177 in Kay County through winter 2017 for reconstruction of the West Braman Road bridge. Access to I-35 remains open at West Braman Road/West Bender Road.

Drivers can expect delays and congestion through this area and should consider using an alternate route such as US-177.
