Ponca City Now - May 7, 2018 10:28 am

The award-winning Herb Fest celebrates its 25th year in Ponca City on Saturday,  June 2, welcoming multi-state vendors including La Hacienda, Neff Family Farms, and Greenfields.

The public is invited to come experience unique plants, herbs, and a new plant vendor with 20 varieties of coleus and hanging baskets.

Visitors to the Cann Gardens at Grand Avenue and Fourteenth Street will find newly installed benches where they can sit, rest and enjoy the setting. The benches were installed by the Ponca City Park and Recreation department.

A special invitation is extended to all former organizers and volunteers to meet at the Cann Garden back patio at 10  a.m. for a picture opportunity in celebrating the 25th year.

The Herb Fest will also feature artwork such as birdhouses, trellises, metal sculpture, wind spinners, rain gauges and barbecue tools. Exterior home improvement materials such as siding, windows, and guttering will also be featured.

Music is always a big part of Herb Fest and the committee is looking for musicians and/or groups to appear during the festival. If interested, please contact Teresa Benson at (580) 401-0894.

The proceeds of this event will benefit the Survivor Resource Network, Inc. (formerly Domestic Violence Program of Northern Oklahoma), including Dearing House.
