Harvell-Peel, Hurts Collect Weekly Honors

The Big 12 announced its weekly awards on Monday afternoon and the Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys were represented.

OU quarterback Jalen Hurts had a stat line of 30-for-42 for 297 yards and 4 touchdowns in the comeback win against Baylor. That was good enough to earn him the Big 12 offensive player of the week.

OSU’s safety Kolby Harvell-Peel once again stood out on the Cowboy defense once again playing a part in multiple takeaways. He picked off Kansas twice, each was against a different QB.

The wins for both squads will see them move up in the rankings as both have already done in the AP rankings. The conference also announced Bedlam will be a primetime game. It is set for 7PM on FOX on Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend.
