Habitat for Humanity house-raising set for Saturday

Ponca City Now - August 19, 2015 10:50 am

The Ponca City Habitat for Humanity has an opportunity for volunteers to work on a housing blitz from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 22, at the "Hampton’s Hope" project on Peachtree Street and Grand Avenue.

Volunteers are needed at the home site to help with a variety of tasks. They will be helping the crew raise the walls on the first home in this new addition.

No experience is necessary. Crews have been building the walls in a Habitat workshop and have them marked in the order in which they will be raised and secured.

Meet at 8 a.m. Saturday at 1022 West Grand Avenue. Contact the Habitat ReStore at (580) 765-2974 for more information.
