One partially demolished building remains on the northwest corner of a city block immediately east of the current Ponca City Police Department, and groundwork has started on the east half  of  the block to begin preparations for construction of a new Public Safety Center.

The final buildings on the block  have been purchased and all others have been demolished.

Ponca City’s Board of Commissioners approved the purchase of the properties in January 2018.

Construction of the new Public Safety Center will be paid for through the city’s Capital Improvement Fund.
