Girl, 5, woman killed in collision near Stillwater

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 5-year-old Pawnee girl and a woman are dead following a head-on collision near Stillwater.

An OHP report says the girl died when the vehicle she was riding in was struck on State Highway 51 east of Stillwater about 11:45 p.m. Friday. The OHP says the driver of the car, 29-year-old McKala Miner of Pawnee, died Saturday morning of injuries suffered in the crash.

The girl’s name was not released.

The report says the two were in an eastbound vehicle that was struck by a vehicle traveling west in the eastbound lanes of traffic.

The report says another passenger was hospitalized in serious condition. The driver of the westbound vehicle was treated and released at a hospital while a passenger was hospitalized in stable condition.
