Further arrests made in homicide case

Law enforcement officials continue to make arrests following the homicide of Jessie Len Trimble III, 39, on Saturday.

On Monday night, Ponca City Police arrested Catherine Rhodd, 30, on a complaint of aiding and abetting a felony fugitive. The arrest was made at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Oak Street at 9:57 p.m.

Also arrested during that stop was Derek Yahola, 24, on an unrelated city warrant for public intoxication, and two warrants for petit larceny. He also was arrested on an unrelated Kay County bench warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of larceny of an automobile.

Waylon DeHaven Rhodd, 22, was apprehended in Trimble’s death Tuesday morning in the 100 block of East Summit Avenue on a charge of murder in the first degree, deliberate intent, or in the alternative, murder in the second degree, feloniously pointing a firearm; and possession after a former felony conviction. His bond was set at $1 million.

At the same time, Ponca City Police also arrested:

  • Angela Renee Rhodd, 23, on city warrants for reckless driving and failure to pay a fine for petit larceny;
  • Alvina Margarete Byrd, 43, on city warrants for failure to pay a fine for false information; failure to pay a fine for petit larceny; failure to pay a fine for transporting an open container; failure to pay a fine for driving under suspension, second offense; failure to pay a fine for no insurance; failure to pay a fine for improper use of an alley; failure to pay a fine for transporting an open container;  failure to pay a fine for driving under suspension, second offense; failure to pay a fine for no insurance, second offense. She was also arrested on Kay County warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of conspiracy, failure to appear in court on an application to revoke a suspended sentence; failure to appear on a charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, methamphetamine; failure to pay a fine for possession of a controlled dangerous substance;
  • Dahdaywe Warrior, 25, on a Kay County warrant for leaving the scene of an injury accident; failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, methamphetamine; and a warrant for failure to pay a fine for possession of methamphetamine. She was also arrested on a Ponca City warrant for larceny.
  • Chase Lamar Warrior, 18, charged with aiding and abetting a fugitive.
