Four killed in head-on collision in central Oklahoma

EL RENO, Okla. (AP) — Four people were killed and another person critically injured in a head-on collision in central Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that the four dead were the driver and the three passengers of a westbound vehicle on the interstate near El Reno at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday when it collided with a vehicle that was eastbound in the westbound lanes of traffic. An OHP report says the vehicle carrying the four victims then caught fire.

The report says that the driver of the eastbound vehicle, identified as Ashley Louise Ricks of Moore, was hospitalized in critical condition and that the four killed have not yet been identified.
