BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) — Four people were found dead in what police said is a “possible” murder and suicide in northeastern Oklahoma.

Officers found the four in a home after someone inside the home called 911 shortly before 11 a.m. on Friday and the dispatcher heard gunshots, Broken Arrow Police Sgt. Jordan Sawyer said in a news release.

The names and ages of the four have not been released and police officials did not immediately return phone calls for information on Saturday.

Police said there was no ongoing threat to the community.

“Unfortunately this is another tragic situation in our community involving some citizens,” Police spokesperson Ethan Hutchins told reporters at the scene.

“I don’t know exactly the relationship between the deceased,” Hutchins said.

In October 2022, eight people that included six children and their parents were fatally shot and their home set on fire in what police said was died in a murder and suicide in Broken Arrow. In 2015, two teenage brothers, Robert and Michael Bever, fatally stabbed their parents and three siblings inside their home in the Tulsa suburb.
