Former Sports Association President Arrested for Embezzling Nearly $200K From WASA

WASHINGTON , OK — A former sports association president has been arrested and charged with embezzlement.
On June 21, 2023, the McClain County Sheriff’s Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) to investigate claims of embezzlement.
According to OSBI. Michael Miles Gordon, 44, was identified as the suspect.
Gordon was the president of the Washington All Sports Association (WASA) from 2018 to 2023. He was responsible for WASA’s administration, finances, and bank accounts.
During the investigation, OSBI special agents and forensic auditors reviewed bank records and determined that Gordon had embezzled approximately $199,573 from WASA.
Based on the information and evidence obtained, on November 25, 2024, OSBI special agents arrested Gordon. – OSBI
He was booked into the McClain County Jail on charges of embezzlement of $1,000 or more.
The bond was set at $200,000 for Gordon.
