Fire Prevention program to visit schools

Ponca City Now - September 30, 2015 10:33 am

Oct. 4-10 is Fire Prevention Week and this year’s theme is "Hear the Beep Where You Sleep." The campaign says every bedroom needs a working smoke alarm.

The Ponca City Fire Department and Ponca City Fire and Life Safety Council are teaming up to make presentations in all local schools, including private schools, next week, morning and afternoon.

Students will win prizes in a coloring and fire escape plan drawing contest.

Ponca City Fire Marshel Dereck Cassady will be visiting senior centers as well.
