Fire on North Union determined to be arson; reward offered

A vacant building in the 1300 block of North Union suffered fire and smoke damage recently and the cause has been determined to be arson, the Ponca City Police Department said Thursday.

A Police and Fire Department response was prompted after a passerby notified the Communication Center of smoke coming from the building just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16. Firefighters remained on the scene for nearly six hours.

The Police Department is working with the Ponca City Fire Marshal on this criminal investigation.
