Festival of Angels begins Wednesday night

The lights go on at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Festival of Angels.

"The Night the Lights Go On" runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and includes free family fun at Lake Ponca Park.

There will be hayrack rides, marshmallow roasts, hot chocolate and cookies to start the annual holiday event.

The festival runs through 10 p.m. Dec. 31 and includes more than 260 displays at three locations in Ponca City — Cann Gardens at Fourteenth Street and Grand Avenue, the Pioneer Woman Statue and Lake Ponca Park.
