Governor Mary Fallin Wins Re-Election
Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin released the following statement tonight after successfully winning reelection:
“Serving as Oklahoma’s governor has been the greatest honor of my life. I am incredibly humbled and thankful to be given the opportunity for a second term. My thanks go out to the voters, the thousands of individuals who worked to support my reelection, my staff and my wonderful husband and family who supported me during a long campaign season. I would also like to acknowledge my opponent, Representative Joe Dorman, for running an energetic campaign and giving voters an opportunity to debate the issues that matter to them.
“Tonight’s election was a victory for the conservative policies that have made Oklahoma a more prosperous place to live, work and raise a family. In the last four years, our pro-growth agenda has lead to over 102,000 new jobs created, a median household income growing at twice the national average, and a replenishment of our State’s Rainy Day Fund. Our task now is to spend the next four years building on those successes and ensuring that Oklahoma families and businesses continue to prosper.
“In the weeks and months ahead, I am excited to work with members of both parties to create more and better jobs, support our teachers and public schools, and create the strongest state we can for the next generation of Oklahomans.”
