An execution date has been set for death row inmate Kevin Ray Underwood, 44, who was convicted of first-degree murder.

He was sentenced for killing 10-year-old Jamie Bolin in 2006 in Purcell.

According to court documents, Underwood invited Bolin into his apartment, hit her in the back of the head, and suffocated her.

He then tried to decapitate her head but was unsuccessful, and put her body in a container in his closet, according to court documents.

In an interview with FBI agents, Underwood said he had developed a desire to abduct a person, sexually molest them, eat their flesh, and dispose of their remains.

Underwood is scheduled to die by lethal injection on Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary, which is also his birthdate.
