Estrada Named Lady Cat Basketball Coach

Mica Estrada has been named the new head coach for the Lady Cat basketball program, pending approval from the Ponca City Board of Education. She has served as the varsity assistant basketball coach for Ponca City Public Schools since August 2017.
Mica attended Oklahoma Christian University from 2010-2014, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She also played basketball for four years while attending OCU.
She served as the head junior high coach for PCPS from August 2014-May 2018. She also served as varsity assistant coach for track and field from August 2019 to present.
She was the business owner of Marry Me Bridal Boutique from 2014-2019.
“It is such an honor to be selected as the next head coach for the Lady Cat basketball team,” she said. “I grew up in the program and am so excited for the opportunity to have an impact on the future of the basketball team. I treasure my time spent playing for the Lady Cat basketball team and hope to instill that passion in my players in the upcoming years.”
