Escapee from Oklahoma prison still at large

ATOKA, Okla. (AP) – Authorities say an escape from the Howard McLeod Correctional Center in Atoka is still at large.

Oklahoma Department of Corrections spokesman Jerry Massie said Saturday that Michael Courverler had not been found. Massie told KXII that investigators believe Courverlar was picked up by someone and may have left the area

Courverler is white, about 5-feet-9-inches tall and 135 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and gray pants.

Courverler was in prison for a variety of convictions that include assault and battery, grand larceny and extortion.
