Email supposedly from Trout is fraudulent

A few residents of Ponca City have contacted the Police Department stating that they have received a fraudulent email from Trout Funeral Home.

One specifically stated that it was from Trout Funeral Home of Perry. Others have indicated the email source appeared to have been from Trout Funeral Home’s main email address.

The body of the email has a link to an invoice that is attached and payment needs to be made as soon as possible.

Clicking on the link attached may cause a virus to attack your computer, so it is not recommended.

The onsite manager of Trout Funeral Home in Ponca City has said they had been made aware of the issue and are working to correct the problem. He can be contacted at 580 765-4411 with any questions.
“If you receive an email from Trout Funeral Home, do not click on the link or make any payment” says Ponca City Police Detective Division Captain Richard Evans.
