Eight vocal music students advance to final rounds of All-State Choir auditions

The Ponca City High School Vocal Music Department had nine students compete in the first round of All-State Choir auditions. More than 2,000 singers from around the state competed, and the field was narrowed down to around 200 singers by the end of the two auditions.

Eight of the nine students scored high enough to pass on to the second and final round of auditions. The final auditions will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16 at University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.

The Po-Hi students are Jadyn Benton, Audrey Caughlin, Nikolas Hoecker, AJ Johnson, Ashlee Patterson, Cyrus Wells, James Whitfield, and Anna Willis.
