Eastbound Lanes On Highway 412 Are Open After Multi-Vehicle Crash, 2 Injured

Ch. 6 - September 25, 2024 10:01 am

The Eastbound lanes of Highway 412 are back open after a multi-vehicle accident closed the highway around 4:30 a.m.

A woman, who frequently travels this route, said she witnessed a vehicle driving in the wrong direction and quickly pulled over.

She attempted to get the vehicle passing her to stop but it had already driven past her and saw the two cars hit head-on.

As she called 911, a third vehicle passed her and struck one of the involved cars, pushing it off the road.

She said the third driver came back to her and they attempted to stop additional traffic. However, several cars passed through the scene before it was fully blocked off.

The crash left two people critically injured, while the driver of the third vehicle is expected to be OK.

Fog is believed to have played a significant role in the accident.
