Early Voting to Begin Next Week

Early Voting begins Thursday June 23, 2022 for voters in Kay County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.

Kay County Election Board Secretary Carol Leaming , said early voting is open to all voters.  “You do not need to provide and excuse to voter early. Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted by the County Election Board or State Election Board — from school board and municipal elections to sate and federal elections. This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day or who want to avoid long ling,” Leaming said.

Early voting is available Thursday, June 23, 2022, and Friday June 24, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the County Election Board located in The Kay County Administration Building at 219 S. Main St. Newkirk, OK. Leaming reminds voters that early voting is not available at polling places.
