Dump truck hits Tulsa police car

TULSA, Okla. (AP) – Authorities say two Tulsa police officers suffered minor injuries after a dump truck struck their patrol car.

Police say the officers’ unmarked car was traveling south on U.S. 169 Thursday morning and was slowing down in a construction zone when the speeding dump truck hit their car.

The officers were taken by an ambulance to hospitals for treatment.

The truck’s driver was ticketed at the scene.
