LAKE TEXOMA, OKLA (KOKH) — Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) troopers and dive team troopers searched and located two drowning victims in Lake Texoma over the weekend.

Troopers said on Monday they were searching for a third missing boater from a separate incident.

The two victims were not wearing personal flotation devices, according to OHP.

Officials emphasized the importance of taking safety precautions on the lake not only in the summer, but also in winter.

Troopers continued their search and rescue efforts Tuesday morning on the Washita River for the missing boater.

OHP said his boat and dog were found Saturday night around 9 p.m. on the Washita River near Cumberland.
