Drowning Near Elephant Rock at Lake Murray

onday evening, a drowning occurred near Elephant Rock Campground at Lake Murray in Carter County.

Jordan Gladfelter, age 28, was last seen around 5:30 p.m. swimming out to Elephants Rock when they began to struggle and went under the water.

According to Oklahoma Marine Enforcement, the victim was located around 7:20 p.m. in deep water approximately 200 feet north of the Elephant Rock shore.

The water was clear and Gladfelter was not using a personal flotation device.
