The High School Band and Orchestra are working in cooperation with Stuteville Ford Lincoln of Ponca City, in the Ford Drive 4 Ur School Fund Raiser Campaign. The instrumental music program has the opportunity to raise a good deal of money toward their Spring Trip this Saturday, September 7, without selling anything. The event will take place at Stuteville Ford Lincoln on North 14th Street from 8:00am – 4:00pm.
The instrumental music program will earn $20 for every household that test drives a car and fills out a brief survey, up to a maximum of $6000 (300 people). Here is how it works. The driver has a survey to fill out once arriving (have driver’s license). They are then escorted to a vehicle for a test drive. After finishing the drive, the driver is asked to fill out a short survey that is on the same app. This is all it takes to earn $20 for the program. These completed surveys are what the National Ford Motor Company uses to count official test drives.
Test drivers must have a valid driver’s license and be 18 years of age or older. Only one driver per household is allowed. Address on driver’s license is what is used on the official paperwork. There will be no sales pitch to buy a vehicle. Just come and test drive a vehicle and help the band and orchestra program earn money.
Renea Tarver, President of Instrumental Music Parents Association, would like to say, “We are very appreciative to Stuteville Ford for choosing us as one of the first since Pre Covid to take part in this event. We also appreciate our community and the support it gives to our students. When the kids see that people stand behind them, it means the world to them! The smiles on their faces and the shine in their eyes makes it all worth the time. We are only asking for a few moments of your time to test drive a vehicle. We look forward to seeing everyone come out to show their support. As always, Thank You Ponca City and Stuteville Ford!”
Ms. Cochran, Director of Instrumental Music, had this to say. “It is nice to raise money without having to ask people in the community to buy something. We just need bodies to test drive vehicles. The money is coming from the National Ford Motor Company in Detroit. With that in mind, we do not want to leave money on the table when the monies are coming from outside our community. We appreciate all individuals willing to help us reach our goal on Saturday. Plus, we owe Stuteville Ford Lincoln a big thank you for their help in setting up this project with us. Again, thank you Ponca City for all your support of our instrumental music program. It is truly great to live in a community that supports the arts.”
