Deputies Arrest Couple Accused Of Tying Teenage Daughter To Tree In Washington Co.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Okla. –
Washington County deputies arrested a Texas couple for tying their 15-year-old daughter to a tree with a ratchet strap and leaving her outside.
Deputies said family members called them out to Vera because the girl had been tied up for three days.
They said they found the girl sitting on a carpet square and tied to the tree with a bandage over her leg.
Deputies said they talked to the girl’s father Johnny James who told them he tied her up because she likes to lie and couldn’t control her bowel movements.
They said he told deputies he only does it while they can’t keep an eye on her.
Deputies arrested James and his girlfriend Kayla Clark for child abuse and neglect.
